National Security Awareness Course

This course is designed for members of security agencies, private organizations, NGOs and general public across all levels. It seeks to provide members of the pubic with foundation knowledge on national security concepts, human security, national security architecture of Ghana, fundamentals of intelligence, intelligence community, agency roles and mandate, principles of protective security, cyber security, national security strategy, contemporary threats to national security, radicalization, terrorism and violent extremism.

It takes participants without any knowledge of security to a comprehensive understanding of intelligence and national concepts, workings of the national security and intelligence system and role of citizens and various stakeholders in maintaining national security, peace and stability.

Trainees will be able to:

  • Employ basic intelligence principles in maintaining personal security and safeguarding critical infrastructure and classified information

  • Applicants without above academic qualifications should have at least 1 year working experience in the security agencies, private security establishment, NGO or private organization.

24 Hr (3 weekends-Saturdays Only). Lectures are conducted from 8:30 pm to 05:00pm.

After submission of required documents, applicants will be notified of their admission to proceed to the next stage which includes payment of registration/attendance fee of Ghc100 and issue of applicant admission pass (Unique I.D) for applicants to access training program, course administration guidelines, training regulations and relevant materials related to the course.

Applicants who successfully register shall then proceed to pay tuition fee at least 5 working days before commencement of training course.
